Tyson Punches Photographer
Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson has been arrested – again. Claiming that he was struck and provoked by a “celebrity photographer” on Wednesday, “Iron Mike” apparently punched the photographer in the face and then tried to take the film from the camera.
According to Reuters, the photographer suffered a cut to his forehead during the confrontation. He was also arrested and then taken to a local hospital.
“There’s a lot of different versions to the story,” Los Angeles Airport Police Sergeant Jim Holcomb said. “That’s all going to come out later. But in this particular case, both individuals are going to be pressing charges for battery.”
The scuffle is the latest incident between celebrities and aggressive paparazzi at the Los Angeles airport.
Aggressive paparazzi often lay in wait at the Los Angeles airport and are a constant irritant to traveling celebrities. Rapper Kanye West was only recently cleared of charges relating to an altercation with a photographer that occurred last year.
