Brooke Hundley - Steve Phillips

ESPN analyst and former Mets general manager Steve Phillips has opened up to police about his sordid affair with Brooke Hundley, a much younger production assistant who, after their breakup, stalked and terrified the Phillips family.

Hundley, 22, apparently became enraged when Phillips, 46, ended the relationship. In ‘Fatal Attraction’ style,  Brooke started calling his wife repeatedly, saying “I care about Steve, I make him happy and we both can’t have him!” She also used ESPN’s computers to pose as a high school friend of Phillips’ 16 year-old son on Facebook. Then, after leaving a letter to Steve’s wife Marni detailing the extra-marital relationship, Hundley sped away and lost control of her car smashing into a stone pillar.

“This woman has clearly displayed erratic behavior and delusional tendencies,” said a letter written by Phillips to the police. “She has shown up at our house. She has taken on the identity of at least two people (minors) to violate our son (a minor). Despite the fact she has been spoken to by a police detective I have extreme concerns about the health and safety of my wife, my kids and myself.”

Marni Phillips has filed for divorce and ESPN has suspended Phillips for one week over the scandal.

Despite the terror that Hundley has caused his family, Phillips has declined to press charges against his former lover.
