The long arm of pro-Obama censorship has reached out to a small business in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Dan Fuchs, owner of the Graphic Edge, a specialty printing business, said recently that business was picking up at his Kiosk in the Mall at Johnson City.

According to the Johnson City Press, “Fuchs’ business, the Graphic Edge, printed slogans and pictures on items such as coffee cups, bumper stickers and T-shirts. He said more than half of his business came from the sale of anti-Obama merchandise. Bumper stickers with slogans such as “SOS: Stop Obama’s Socialism,” “Nobama,” and “Chicago got the party, but the country got the hangover” were displayed around the small stand.”

The JC Press reported that on Thursday evening, Fuchs said mall officials met with him and told him to take down the anti-Obama items on display by closing time or face immediate eviction.

“I was upset about it, of course,” he said Friday prior to receiving the notice. “That’s my livelihood.”

Fuchs’ lease was terminated on Friday.  He said that he was not given a reason for the termination and that he was both shocked and upset.

The anti-Obama merchandise sold at the kiosk is not necessarily his viewpoint, Fuchs said. He emphasized that most were completed upon customer request and were displayed as work samples.

“I support his office,” he said “I might not like him, but I support his office.”

Since receiving the notice, however, Fuchs said he now intends to continue to sell anti-Obama items via the Internet.

His opening paragraph on the site reads:

No more freedom of speech?

Well, at least in America’s malls.

That’s okay, you can still get these products to
wear and display proudly

and freely to speak your mind.
If we don’t speak now,

we may not be able to much longer.

If you are outraged by this event, Fuchs’ products are available at www.graphicedgeonline.com/.

This is a developing story – exclusive interviews to follow on this site.

Where are you selling on the NET, Dan? I want to purchase some anti-brobama merchandise!

Read your lease thouroughly and see if you are within your right to sue the mall owner for breach of contract! This is a am outrage! As many people there are unemployed, me included, I can not fathom how a soleproprietor trying to earn a decent living could be burddened by such constitutional violations! Or is it to create lease space for a minority or “less fortunate” income earner??? mhm.

“The long arm of pro-Obama censorship has reached out to a small business in Johnson City, Tennessee.”

This is misleading. Just because the people in charge of this gentleman’s lease had a problem with the content of his business doesn’t mean it is linked in anyway to the Obama administration or anything implemented by them.

I think the gentleman got the shaft, and should pursue legal means for reparations. I just want it to be made clear that this is in no way governmental censorship.

Is this a chain owned mall? Can you publish the owner of the mall so if there are any in the readers areas, we can boycott them. Also, would like to send emails to the other companies that reside in the mall and advise them that we will no longer shop their since they do business with a company that violates constitutional rights and practices discrimination.

People need to band together and not shop there anymore to express their displeasure. I will be documenting these stores and writing emails to corporate of each to tell them that if they do not stop doing business with companies that deny American rights, then I will not be shopping at their stores locally. Anyone else that would be willing to do this and stick to their guns by boycotting also would be great. We are more powerful in numbers.
