Spanish Prime Minister’s Goth Daughters
President and Michelle Obama posed with Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, his wife, opera singer Sonsoles Espinosa, and their two daughters.
According to the New york Post, the group picture was posted by the White House on its Flickr page.
The photo in itself was not too unusual, however it made front-page news back in Madrid, where the public had never seen Zapatero’s daughters, Laura, 16, and Alba, 13, who appear in the picture to favor a rather Goth-like public image.
According to the Post, the Prime Minister under Spanish law, forces the media not to run their photos.
His office called the White House to remove the image from the US State Department’s Flickr page and the West Wing withdrew it.
