Elin Nordegren – Tiger Woods Divorce Final
Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren both appeared in a Panama City, Florida courtroom today to finalize their divorce – nine months after his middle-of-the-night car crash outside his home set off shocking revelations that golf’s biggest star had been cheating on his wife.
Sources inside the courtroom say the couple, flanked by their legal teams did not speak to each other.
They released the following statement:
“We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future. While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us.”
“Once we came to the decision that our marriage was at an end, the primary focus of our amicable discussions has been to ensure their future well-being. The weeks and months ahead will not be easy for them as we adjust to a new family situation, which is why our privacy must be a principal concern.”
According to reports, Nordegren will receive $100 million in the settlement and was also granted a request to take back her maiden name and is officially Elin Maria Pernilla Nordegren once again.
Terms of the divorce were not released, except that they will “share parenting” of their 3-year-old daughter, Sam, and 19-month-old son, Charlie.
