As was his habit, he was riding his prized Harley motorcycle in the Los Angeles area, calmly minding his own business. Suddenly, “The Passion of the Christ” star James Caviezel could not avoid colliding with a bicycle.
Strangely, it was a rider-less bike, apparently deliberately thrown into his path by a man walking along the road.
The man was reported to be acting erratic at the time, gesturing toward the sky, amongst other odd behavior.
Richard Magnussen, a spokesman for the Washington State Patrol told Reuters, “There’s no relationship between these guys at all, (Caviezel) just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
Caviezel suffered a cut to his hand and a bruise on his leg, authorities said. The actor, who lives in Los Angeles, was taken to a hospital and released.
