Stories continue to circulate about Michael Jackson’s drug use and about the doctors who have prescribed them. According to a report by the AP, the Los Angeles Police Department has requested the US Drug Enforcement Agency to provide assistance with the investigation into Michael’s death.

The DEA has extensive resources and experience in investigating drug abuse, illicit drug manufacturers known as “pill mills” and substances beyond the capabilities of local police.  Specifically, the DEA would evaluate Michael’s doctors and any drugs that were prescribed and would look for any evidence that federal drug laws had been violated.

Registered nurse, Cherilyn Lee, insists that she repeatedly rejected Jackson’s demands for the drug, Diprivan. Generally administered through an IV needle in the hand.  Diprivan is a drug widely used in operating rooms to induce unconsciousness. This is consistent with Cherilyn’s claim that she observed the pop star as a man tortured by sleep deprivation.

According to a source interviewed by Fox News, “There was a doctor with Michael at all times – He traveled with a doctor. Michael got injections of drugs daily.”

Although an autopsy has been completed, the final toxicology and additional test results are not expected for several weeks.

Interesting comments about Michael Jackson. I just want to add how sad Jackson’s sudden death is. He was truly original and will be the ‘King of Pop’ for a long time to come.
